Achilles Tendonitis or Tendinosis

January 30, 2013 by

Achilles Tendonitis/Tendinosis – Importantly, these aren’t the same thing. Tendonitis is an acute inflammation of the tendon and should respond well to Physiotherapy treatments (soft tissue mobilisation, ultrasound, acupuncture, eccentric exercises as per the Alfredson regime). However, Tendinosis can be helped with Physiotherapy but is less successful. Don’t worry because if we can’t get you better we can send you to the best people around to help you! Have a look at Otto Chan’s research here http://www.londonsportscare.com/academic-research.
